Safety isn’t a coincidence – it’s part of our design

The Microlino was created with one clear goal: to achieve the perfect balance between compact urban mobility and maximum protection for its driver and passenger.

Many people ask us, “How safe can such a small vehicle really be?”
Our answer: surprisingly safe – and for good reason.

A new safety standard for microcars

The Microlino meets all European safety requirements for the L7e category, designed for lightweight, zero-emission city vehicles. But we wanted to go further – and set a new benchmark within this class.

That’s why the Microlino is the first vehicle of its kind to feature a self-supporting unibody safety cell made of steel and aluminium. This structure is exceptionally rigid and stable, offering far greater protection than the tubular frames or plastic shells used in many other microcars.

The result is a solid, enclosed safety cell that distributes impact forces more effectively – providing more protection for both driver and passenger, without exceeding the lightweight limits that define our category.

Safety you can feel

Beyond its structural strength, the Microlino features front and rear crash bars that absorb additional impact energy.

Every seat is equipped with a three-point seatbelt, and disc brakes on all four wheels ensure confident, consistent stopping power.

Its independent McPherson suspension on both the front and rear axles – a system usually found in larger vehicles – enhances stability, improves cornering traction and gives the Microlino a secure, planted feel even at higher speeds.

Our engineering tests show that this combination of compact design, low centre of gravity and precise chassis tuning results in a vehicle that feels light yet incredibly solid – especially where you wouldn’t expect it.

Everyday safety: responsibility included

No matter how robust a vehicle is, the most important safety feature is always the person behind the wheel. Over 90% of all traffic accidents result from human error – speeding, distraction, or following too closely.

That’s why we believe in active responsibility rather than passive technology.
The Microlino encourages a calmer, more mindful, more connected driving style.
At a top speed of 90 km/h, you quickly realise that mobility isn’t about going faster – it’s about moving with flow and awareness.

Our philosophy: true safety arises from thoughtful design, clear engineering and attentive driving.

Built for the city – made for you

The Microlino was designed for urban life, and that’s exactly where its safety advantages shine. Its size allows easier parking and better visibility in traffic. Less mass means less kinetic energy – and therefore milder consequences in the event of a collision compared to larger vehicles.

And because every Microlino has a fully enclosed cabin, you’re protected from weather, noise, and – unlike in many open light vehicles – significantly better shielded in case of an impact.

Conclusion: Small, yet safe

The Microlino isn’t a traditional car – and that’s its greatest strength.
It combines the efficiency of a scooter with the security of a closed vehicle, introducing a new level of safety into the world of microcars through its innovative safety cell, modern braking system and stable suspension.

In short: the Microlino proves that “small” and “safe” are no contradiction – they’re the future of urban mobility.
