Noviv Mobility (part of AMAG Group) becomes official sales and service partner for the Microlino in Switzerland.

  • The largest automotive company in Switzerland will become official sales partner for the Microlino
  • AMAG locations will carry out test drives, deliveries to customers, as well as maintenance and repairs
  • Start of sales initially with three locations in Dübendorf, Bern and Geneva from the end of September, further locations are planned
  • First test drive events will be offered in Micro's own showroom in Meilen as of August

After the successful launch of the configurator in June, Micro announces the next step for the start of sales of the Microlino in Switzerland. Noviv Mobility AG, a company founded by the AMAG Group in July, will become the official sales partner for the Microlino from the end of September. From then on, the light electric vehicles will be available for test drives in three AMAG garages (Dübendorf, Geneva and Bern). But not only that: the AMAG Group will also be responsible for vehicle handovers to customers, as well as maintenance and repair.

Merlin Ouboter, co-managing director of Micro: "As a Swiss family business that has been trying to make the mobility of the future more sustainable for over 20 years, we are particularly pleased to be working with another Swiss family business that is pursuing the same goals."

The Microlino is an L7e class light electric vehicle and has two seats, up to 230km range, 90km/h maximum speed and a trunk capacity of 230 liters. The vehicle was designed specifically for urban areas and has won numerous awards - including the Good Design Award from the Chicago Athaneum, the oldest design award in the world. More than 35,000 customers have already reserved a Microlino. The first vehicles will be delivered to customers in Switzerland this Summer in a Pioneer Edition limited to 999 units in two exclusive colors. The Microlino is available from as little as CHF 14,990.

"We are convinced that micromobility and vehicles like the Microlino can make a major contribution to reducing CO2 emissions without customers having to accept less comfort or flexibility," says founder Wim Ouboter, who invented the "Microscooter" in 1999. A study by the German Aerospace Center (DLR) found that LEVs can reduce energy consumption by 30% to 80%, depending on how they are used

In order to meet this potential, AMAG founded NOVIV Mobility AG in July for new offerings in the area of individual mobility. NOVIV Mobility AG offers test drives, deliveries and service, but the vehicle is always sold directly to the customer by Micro. This means that prices are always the same throughout Switzerland and it makes no difference whether the customer orders in the showroom or at home from the comfort of their sofa.

In addition to the AMAG locations, Micro maintains its own brand center in Meilen in a hall with industrial flair, from where the first test drives and deliveries will also take place. Selected reservation holders will be able to take a test drive in the Micro showroom from the beginning of August and will also receive deliveries soon after. "After the overwhelming response from customers to our configurator launch, we are finally ready to let customers experience the unique Microlino driving experience," says co-managing director Oliver Ouboter.
